Welcome to the Alternative Energy Module!
We'll begin this module by discussing the pros and cons of biodiesel. Biodiesel is a non-petroleum fuel produced from resources such as plant oils, animal fats, used cooking oil and even algae. Biodiesel is often blended with petroleum diesel to create biodiesel blend fuels suitable for use in existing diesel farm equipment, construction equipment, generators, and even some modified trucks and automobiles. We'll also discuss calorimity in fuels and attempt to demonstrate calorimity in our lab.
