Introduction

In this unit, you will integrate knowledge of how to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with different health care needs.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the use of the nursing process
  • Identify the components of the nursing process
  • Identify the steps of the nursing diagnostic process
  • Develop a plan of care from a nursing assessment
  • Demonstrate nonthreatening techniques for physical examination to ensure client comfort and prepare the client for each regionally focused area of a complete physical examination
